Jeremy is Director, Product Marketing for AVEVA’s Operations Control portfolio which includes its HMI, SCADA and Enterprise Visualization portfolio. He has worked with software and hardware companies spanning marketing, sales, product management and development focused on oil & gas, telecom and high-performance computing. Jeremy enjoys taking complex concepts and breaking them down into understandable insights and stories. Jeremy has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with the University of Calgary and an MBA with the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

Colin has more than 30 years of experience pioneering the latest technology within the ASEAN region, involved in the Industrial IoT/M2M, automation, 3D printing, connectivity, energy & environmental business since the mid-’80s. Colin provides mentorship and advisory services to the industry, primarily focused on regional SMEs implementing digital transformation in line with the emerging Industry 4.0 concepts. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBBA) from RMIT Australia. He is the co-author of “Industry 4.0: Navigating the Manufacturing in ASEAN” and “Smart Factory”. Colin is a certified IoT specialist and alumni of MIT Sloan School of Management Executive program in Artificial Intelligence and IoT.

Colin held the role of President of the Singapore Industrial Automation Association from 2001-2005. He was Vice-Chair of Industry Committee of Energy Efficiency (ICEE) under the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), sub-committee under the National Climate Change Committee in Singapore. HE is also a member of the International Society of Automation (ISA).
Presentation: Smart Manufacturing 4.0

The manufacturing community has been actively exploring ways to reap tangible returns from Industry 4.0 investment, while Industry 4.0 concept adoption, POC, roadmap, and budget allocation is still a work in progress. According to Gartner’s report, $2 trillion was spent worldwide among one million manufacturing entities. The end goal of most investments is to build a smart manufacturing implementation, and leverage emerging technologies such as advanced robotics, cloud and 3D printing, with robust cybersecurity support. A holistic approach is needed, which takes into consideration the integration of people, technology and process, to achieve a “Smart Manufacturing” vision which ensures ROI for all manufacturing stakeholders.
