According to IDC’s “Worldwide AI and Generative AI Spending Guide,” the Asia-Pacific region is expected to see AI-centric spending on software, services, and hardware reach $26 billion by 2027, with a CAGR of 95.4% from 2022 to 2027.

At COMPUTEX, in collaboration with MOON MOON FOOD, the AI Kiosk was introduced to showcase practical AI applications in restaurants. The exhibit featured three types of AI-powered ordering services, integrating Point-of-Sale, Kitchen Display Systems, and Digital Signage Solutions, alongside Automated Food Delivery Express and Delivery Robot services. This setup demonstrates a fully automated smart restaurant, setting a new benchmark for AI automation in the industry.

May Kang, CEO of WiXtar, noted, “Since 2023, 45% of new restaurants in Taiwan focus on self-ordering services, with kiosks accounting for 90% of orders. As AI technologies mature, we anticipate a surge in demand for AI applications.”
