Do you want your machine vision applications to be more successful, reliable, and cost-effective now and in the future? By Allied Vision.
The successful application of machine vision technology involves an intricately and carefully balanced mix of a variety of elements such as hardware and software. Machine vision cameras, the eye of a machine vision system, performs the tasks of image acquisition are decidedly critical to the overall application.
For more than 30 years, Allied Vision, a German-based vision technology company, has been helping people to reach their imaging goals. Allied Vision supplies camera technology and image capture solutions for industrial inspection, medical and scientific imaging, traffic monitoring, and many more application areas in digital imaging.
Allied Vision’s Alvium 1800 series is a technology break-through among all its camera products. Alvium is a cross-over machine vision camera that combines the high performance and durability of machine vision cameras with the compact hardware and cost efficiency of embedded devices.
Incorporating ALVIUM® Technology, Allied Vision’s unique application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), the Alvium Camera Series offers unprecedented levels of flexibility and performance. Thanks to its modular design, it meets a wide variety of manufacturing and industrial needs.
Alvium 1800 Series
This camera series provides machine vision performance in a small package at an attractive price. With its USB3-Vision-compliant interface, it brings the benefits of the industrial GenICam standard to the embedded world. In addition to providing sophisticated image control and triggering features, it can be operated with embedded and PC-based platforms.
Alvium 1500 Series
A powerful and energy-efficient MIPI CSI-2 camera, optimised for embedded vision applications where the camera just needs to stream. The ISP (image signal processing) of ALVIUM® Technology can take over some tasks from the embedded board, so the full
performance of the board can be used for the image processing algorithms. Standardized drivers independent of the camera model ensure a quick integration and the flexibility to change camera models easily.
Whether it is the 1500 Series of high-performance embedded camera modules or the 1800 Series of embedded-ready machine vision cameras, every model in the Alvium range can be configured to suit individual needs. Depending on the application, customers can choose between different lens mounts, housing options, connectors, including a 90° USB option, as well as monochrome or color sensors. Thanks to ALVIUM® Technology, Alvium camera series brings unprecedented benefits for your machine vision system:
Utmost flexibility
As a platform for the Alvium Camera Series, ALVIUM® Technology provides infinite flexibility to adjust and upgrade your system and offers great connectivity within the Alvium world.
Higher performance, lower costs
A collection of image processing and control features for perfect images right from the camera. These allow system engineers to transfer specific image corrections and preprocessing tasks from the host to the camera in order to improve performance or reduce system costs.
Energy-efficient
Low power architecture and intelligent power management. Unlike the FPGAs commonly used in machine vision cameras, the ALVIUM® Technology ASIC is very power-efficient thanks to its much higher integration density. Intelligent power management ensures that it shuts down functionality that is not in use and only draws power when necessary.
Save your design cost
With its standardised interfaces and the provided drivers, cameras using the ALVIUM® Technology ASIC are easy to integrate and can save the engineer more time. And switching from one model to another does not require any change of code.
Now with this new generation cameras, you can improve your machine vision system performance at a lower cost!
