Igus: Smartphone App

With the Fit Calculator the motion plastics specialist igus is now offering a new smartphone app for iOS and Android. This makes it easy to calculate dimensions and tolerances for bearings according to ISO 286.

Enter the nominal size between 0.01 and 500 millimetres, enter tolerances for the housing bore and shaft and get the result. In addition, next to the maximum and minimum dimensions the associated type of fit (clearance or interference fit) is also shown. The tool in the streamlined app can also be used offline, which is particularly beneficial in closed machine or safety zones. At the same time, users can amend the units at any time between metric and imperial systems.
