HKPC Academy has spared no effort in nurturing local talent. Over the years, it has served various Government departments, public and private organisations, and enterprises. In 2022/23, it organised 1,000 online and offline training activities, assisting 38,000 students in mastering cutting-edge technologies and enhancing their knowledge in management.

To further enhance training effectiveness and interactivity, HKPC Academy has introduced “Gamification” into its training programmes. The “Play 4 Performance” corporate training experience day is hosted today, adding unique training activities such as Floor Curling, Draw All You Can and Bridge the Gap challenge, etc. The aim is to optimise the learning experience, increase engagement, and enhance employees’ digital knowledge, teamwork, and collaboration skills comprehensively through gamification. In addition, acknowledging the concerns of numerous enterprises regarding the expenses associated with training programmes, HKPC Academy offers over 150 approved training programmes under the “Reindustrialisation and Technology Training Programme” (RTTP) each year, making it a core provider of RTTPs in Hong Kong. Eligible students can receive up to two-third tuition subsidies, significantly alleviating training expenses. In addition to physical training, HKPC Academy also offers a tailor-made online self-learning platform – vLearn (the platform) for individuals and businesses, providing interactive videos that allow employees to learn anytime, anywhere. Enterprises can also track their employees’ learning progress and effectiveness through the platform, enabling the establishment of more targeted and practical training programmes.

Customers who have participated in the training have expressed that the programmes offered by HKPC Academy are practical and diverse, enabling employees to acquire the necessary skills in the digital era and enhancing the productivity and competitiveness of both the enterprises and the employees. According to statistics, customer satisfaction with the quality and effectiveness of HKPC Academy’s programmes reaches as high as 90%, establishing a strong reputation for HKPC Academy.

Ms Karen FUNG, General Manager, InnoPrenuer and FutureSkills of Hong Kong Productivity Council, said, “The ‘National 14th Five-Year Plan’ has clearly supported Hong Kong’s development into an international I&T centre. While recruiting overseas talent, Hong Kong must also actively cultivate our local I&T talent. HKPC Academy has been actively promoting Technology Education (TechEd) and talent development. We are thrilled to receive multiple awards in talent training, and we sincerely thank the industry for their support and recognition of our training efforts. HKPC Academy will continue to work alongside businesses, leveraging our years of training experience and excellent facilities to meet market trends and workplace demands. We will provide diverse ‘FutureSkills’ training services, contributing to nurturing future I&T talent for Hong Kong.”
