SDAS-MHS Position Transmitter And Programmable Cylinder Switch

Designed as a 2-in-1 product, the SDAS-MHS doubles as an IO-Link position transmitter in cylinder switch size and a cylinder switch with two programmable switching points. No longer needing to install two cylinder switches, buyers save time and cost with this single source sensor. Equipped with a state-of-the-art capacitive teach-button, the SDAS-MHS allows for a faster and safer set-up, as compared to manually adjusting two conventional cylinder switches. This robust interface makes it possible to directly programme PNP/NPN on the device thus reducing part numbers and versions to stock.

Despite its dual functionality, the SDAS-MHS is remarkably compact yet it offers up to a 40mm detection range with two programmable switching points. The small size of this position transmitter makes it possible to provide continuous position feedback on especially small drives like compact cylinders and grippers. With its ability to uninterruptedly track movements of pistons and deliver the information via IO-Link, customers with Industry 4.0 requirements benefit greatly.

Self-sufficient: Optoelectronic Sensor SOOE

One of the smallest distance sensors around, the SOOE, has inbuilt LEDs making it a self-sufficient light-sources with visible wavelengths. The sensor is able to take on various mounting positions to detect the presence or absence of objects (eg: parts or workpieces) in specific positions when the light beam is interrupted or when the intensity of the reflected light changes. Cost-effective and durable, the SOOE is superior to other laser diodes as it houses both the advantages of LED and laser while being safe for the eyes. It is also competitively priced at a rate cheaper than some competitor sensors.

The SOOE is ideal for customers in various industries such as general automation technology and special machine manufacturing as it is able to detect objects at distances ranging from 1mm to 20m while perceiving contrasts. Its precision distance sensors are based on multi-pixel technology (MPT) that produce the best possible results for object detection thanks to precise signal evaluation. Furthermore, the miniature sensor offers a compact, standard and integrated solution for all optical object-detection functions with PNP and NPN available in a single device.
