BOGE Kompressoren, a supplier of compressed air systems is conducting a design study aimed at enhancing the overall convenience and attractiveness of screw compressors. The company’s new S-4 Optimus promises to take cost and energy efficiency, ease of maintenance, and quiet running of the machines, to a whole new level.

The company is focusing on maximising operational consistency and a need-based use of resources in its design study. The latest designs to potentially be added to the S-4 series include an oil circuit without a thermostatic valve – to reduce maintenance and increase reliability – and an integrated wireless control system using technologies such as WLAN or Bluetooth to enhance machine connectivity.

The company presented the S-4 OPTIMUS prototypes to trade professionals at the recent ComVac trade fair in Hanover, Germany.
