Singapore: Tenable Network Security, has announced that Amit Yoran will become the company’s chairman and CEO effective Jan. 3, 2017. Mr Yoran joins Tenable after serving as president of RSA, where he has been responsible for the over US$1 billion-in-revenue company’s strategic vision and direction. Yoran joined RSA via the acquisition of network forensics leader NetWitness, a high-growth company he founded and led as CEO. Prior to NetWitness, he served as founding director of the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) program in the US Department of Homeland Security. He also was founder and CEO of Riptech, which was one of the first Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) and was acquired by Symantec in 2002. Yoran serves as a board member and adviser to a number of security startups.
Tenable co-founders Jack Huffard and Renaud Deraison, who have been leading the company during the CEO search, will continue in their roles as president and Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), respectively.
