Hanon Systems Opens Engineering Centre In Shanghai

Shanghai, China: Automotive thermal solutions provider Hanon Systems has opened a new 3,612 sq m engineering centre in Shanghai that will focus on application engineering and system evaluation. Located in Songjian district, the centre will support Chinese automakers and global vehicle manufacturers operating in China.

"We are pleased to open this new engineering centre in Shanghai to provide automakers with local technical expertise and testing capability to better support the growing China market,” said In-Young Lee, president and chief executive officer of Hanon Systems.

The engineering centre also is equipped to provide in-house design verification, product validation and in-process testing. Specific test capabilities include noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) evaluation; air handling performance and durability of heating, ventilation and air conditioning modules; and thermal system component testing for electric vehicles.

The company is relocating its Shanghai technical staff from an existing site approximately 25 kilometres away to the new facility in the Songjiang district.
